Points of Interest

  • The Connemara south of Clifden you will find a great landscape called Connemara and the part of it that is close to the sea is quite flat.
  • The transatlantic landing site at Ballyconneely This is another place of history in Ireland: Ballyconneely is a small village, situated about halfway between the villages of Roundstone and Clifden.
  • Connemara National Park is beautiful! There are nature and hiking trails that allow you to see the natural bogs and heaths.
  • The 12 Bens are the group of small hills that you will see from almost anywhere in the Connemara.
  • Delphy Valley is the name of a side-valley, widely unknown by tourists. In my opinion, it is a perfect sidestep when you drive from Clifden.
