Malaysia Borneo 2 Days 1 Night with Kinabatangan River

Kinabatangan river is Sabah longest river that flows 560km.

Kinabatangan River, the longest river of Borneo. The main reason for tourist to Bilit is to go cruising Kinabatangan river to watch wildlife. From Sandakan city, it is 2.5 hours drive to reach the Bilit.

You can for instance go for a walk in the area or maybe sit back and relax with a book on the porch. Late afternoon you'll sail off in search of wild animals. If you look up high and the trees, you'll see the monkeys looking down on you as they scurry about. Once the sun begins to set you'll sail back to the lodge for dinner.

Awakened by screeching gibbon monkeys and the typical sounds made by hornbills. Early in the morning, you'll continue your holiday as you sail towards nearby lakes where the animals on the shores will slowly come to life. You'll see otters, large lizards, crocodiles and of course very many monkeys. Later on in the morning you'll sail back to your lodge for breakfast.

Itinerary

1st Day
08:00am - Meet & greet from Sandakan airport or hotel lobby. Transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
08:45am - Arrive to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. After registration, trek 10 mins through the rain forest on wooden boardwalk to the Feeding Platform.
10:00am - Witness the morning feeding of Orang Utans. Return to reception center, watch the scheduled video program ( 25 mins )at the Nature Education Center, and visit the Exhibition Hall.
11:00am - Advance to Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre.
12:00pm - Enjoy Lunch
12:30pm - Overland to Kinabatangan for 2.5 hours.
15:00pm - Expected arrive at Bilit, Kinabatangan. Check in and free at own leisure.
16:00pm - Afternoon river cruising for 2 hours.
18:00pm - Return to the lodge for dinner.
20:00pm - After dinner, enjoy a night drive safari in search of nocturnal animals, it may approximately 1 hour.
21:00pm - Overnight at Bilit Kinabatangan Lodge.

2nd Day
06:00am - Wake up by the calls of nature.
06:30am - Early jungle walk to MERBAU TRAIL, fascinated by more than 100 years old Merbau Tree.
08:00am - Return to the lodge for breakfast.
08:30am - After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sandakan.
11:30am - Transfer to Sandakan airport or your respective hotel.
