Location: Florence and Pisa
This beautiful villa, which dates back to the seventeenth century, was originally a country residence and is located in the heart of the countryside, yet within walking distance of the historic center of the pretty city of Vinci, where the great artist and inventor Leonardo (da Vinci!) was born. The small town of Vinci offers many services and typical restaurants as well as an interesting museum of Leonardo's inventions and the house where he was born.
The Villa is spread over two floors and has been carefully renovated while keeping the beautiful lodge of the facade which acts as a covered terrace. The interiors are spacious and comfortably furnished with a mix of styles where elements typical of the Tuscan tradition combine with more modern aspects. Spacious gardens surround the Villa with a shaded corner and a kiosk, table, chair & barbecue, the perfect place to eat "al'aperto". In exceptional position in the garden terrace, you can enjoy a superb pool (12m x 6m).

The villa is ideally situated for visiting Tuscany. Our hostess was aboslutely charming and the house felt lived in, it was far from the average rental property. I would strongly recommend it. With its independant additional accommodation a great place to go with young people who can live their own lives. The grounds are amazing - our major problem was often deciding which part of the garden to use !!!

Cleanliness is 90 because lawn mowing is done without collecting cut grass. This grass is carried into the house. Ground floor toilet flush was too weak. Should be amended. Comfort is 90 because one bathroom does not have shower, only bath.
