Clasped in the hills of Chianti, the Estate lies in a blissful spot, midway between Florence (20 miles/30 km) and Siena (30 miles/47 km). It's less than 10 minutes' drive down to the lively market town of Greve-in-Chianti, with its cafés, restaurants and shops. Used as the set for famous costume films (firstly Branagh's "Much Ado About Nothing"), the Villa offers a n absolutely unique stay in the Tuscan countryside.
One of the oldest wine estates situated in the Chianti Classico region, the Estate is made up of a 14th-century Renaissance Villa and of restored farm buildings scattered around the grounds, surrounded by beautiful Italian gardens. Rooms at the Villa are set in the main building, while the apartments and the maisonette are located in separate buildings, 3 km from the farm stay.
The property features everything you could ask for from a holiday in the Tuscan countryside: enjoy a game of tennis, or have a refreshing swim in one of the outdoor pools. Bikes are available free of charge.
In the spa centre, you can use the Turkish baths free of charge and also its own gym. Go for walks down to the river past vineyards and olive groves or just sunbathe on the solarium which comes complete with a hot tub.
Play table tennis or just relax with a cup of tea in the Italian gardens.
A stay at the Estate wouldn't be complete without tasting the excellent wine produced on site. Guided tours of the vinyard and cellars are run daily and you can taste wine and oil free of charge at the shop.

This is the second time I've stayed here - and this time I brought friends. I just love the beauty and feel of the property. The staff is really nice, the villa is very quiet, there are tons of places to hang out without being bothered by anyone. The landscape is beautiful and there are great restaurants a short cab or drive away. We also did a great walk through the property. Love this place, will be back again.
