Lou Granos is situated in the heart of the Lubéron, directly across from the Crête des Cèdres, a cedar forest that runs along the crest of a long mountain ridge, or massif. In a magical, wilderness setting, it is a haven of peace reserved for those in love with nature, calm, silence, and quality of life.
On a hill, in the middle of the Garrigues, stands its large mas (Provence style house) built with great respect for the classical local architectural style, with terraces from which you view magnificent, luxuriant gardens, containing intimate hidden corners; all conceived, designed, decorated by its owner : Nicky Verfaillie.
TO WELCOME YOU :
Four rooms overlook the herb garden (available also as a suite), and 2 rooms overlook the orchard, all having bathrooms with showers or tubs. Reading rooms, music rooms, offices, and private terraces--everything to make you comfortable awaits you.
SPACES FOR RELAXATION AND MEAL :
There are large and small sitting rooms, and dining rooms according to the season. Nicky provides copious, delicious breakfasts, picnics redolent with the flavors of Provence, and according to her inspiration and availability, an occasional home style dinner.
GARDEN AND ANIMALS :
On the property you will find: an olive grove in a field of lavender, an ornamental garden containing the essences of the South, a garden of culinary and medicinal plants and herbs, a winter garden with its orange grove and collection of cacti, a greenhouse with orchids, a vegetable garden where flowers and vegetables mingle, an orchard of diverse fruit trees, the dojo, place for meditation or a siesta, a hen house and chicken coop with domestic and exotic birds, and barn with its Icelandic horses.
FOR YOUR LEISURE:
Swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, sauna, steam shower, pétanque court, golf driving cage, archery range, horseback riding and mountain biking, are all on the property !
