Don't be fooled by the location of others. As an original Spanish mansion, the Hemingway is one of the most photographed buildings in all of San Jose. Though none of the seventeen guest rooms are the same, they all have posturepedic beds, cable television with over 60 channels in Spanish and English, a telephone with free calls within Costa Rica, free Internet access for your laptop, a clock-radio, an insured in-room safe (extra), and a private tiled bath with hot water shower. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans to circulate the air, but heating and air-conditioning are never needed in San José. Rated as one of the world´s great climates, we are a kilometer above both the Pacific and Caribbean and enjoy a constant 72-75 degrees year -round. Our rooms come in three price ranges depending upon size and location.
We offer a complimentary tropical buffet breakfast on the garden patio each morning from 6 to 10 am.
