Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest in Costa Rica with a total area of 683 hectares. You can get to it from the Monkey House by walking along the public beach or by driving along a scenic mountain road. Once at the park knowledgeable guides can take you on a tour or you may choose to hike the well-marked trails on your own.
The Monkey House has it's own private beach known as Tortuga Landing.
Just 10 minutes down the road toward the Parador Hotel you will find Biesanz Beach.
For more social people you can walk up from the Monkey House just past the Makanda Hotel and take the road to the right to get to the public beach just 15 minutes away. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented along with boogie boards, surfboards, and kayaks.
