RURAL COTTAGE XAYMACA
Xaymaca is a beautifully restored traditional 19thC country-village house, offering superb self-catering accomodation for up to 8 people. Spacious areas with original high beamed ceilings, stone walls and terracotta tiled floors blend with warm, sunny colours and an ingenuous mix of antique, rustic and contemorary furnishings. The fusion of different cultural features create a charming and harmonious atmosphere where quality is the trademark.

Massive old wooden entrance doors lead from the house’s private parking area into a stone-walled courtyard (formerly an oil mill) with a fountain ensconced amongst verdant and colourful Mediterranean plants and flowers, ideal for al-fresco dining on warm summer nights.

There are 4 double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms have airconditioning and are decorated and furnished to the highest standards together with a careful selection of top quality bed and bath linen.

Outdoors, there is a wide choice of areas for everyone. The two-level patio leads up to the fruit orchard and garden area where a large 11x4m swimming pool, that can be floodlit for those summer-night dips, overlooks the valley and surrounding mountains. There are sunloungers and outdoor furniture for sunbathing or resting in the garden under shady trees. A covered porch and barbecue area complete this unique accomodation where you will want to return time and again.

In Xaymaca, a cleaning service is included twice a week, which can be extended upon request. The owners take care of pool and garden maintenance. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with our “welcome basket” which includes seasonal fruit, drinks, wine, bread, butter, tea, coffee, etc. to help you recover from your journey and plenty of information about the area.

Located on the edge of the small village of Benimeli, Xaymaca is only a few minutes walk from the village square which boasts a cultural centre, bar/restaurant serving local and international cuisine, a grocery store and bakery. Benimeli is nestled amongst almond, olive and citrus groves in the lush Rectoria valley, surrounded by a semicircle of hills and mountain ranges. Strategically situated, its ideal location allows visitors the best of two worlds: the tranquillity of village life yet easy access to many places of interest or coastal resorts with more activity.
