ITALY LIGURIA ITALIAN RIVIERA Ancient typical Ligurian farmhouse renovated with 3 self catering accommodations and one self contained house: two for 4 p., one for 3 p., one for 2 p. and one self contained house for 2+1.

Secluded within the hills of the Gulf of Diano Marina, and surrounded by 200 year old olive groves, this estate offers an oasis of tranquillity only a few minutes away from the Meditarranean coast.

The main house was enlarged in the 17th century, and was first built as a fortress in order to protect the inhabitants of the hamlet from the Saracen incursion. It was used as a Convent and still maintains this name. It sits grandly amidst vast olive groves, silhouetted against the hills.



The tasting of Maura's own extra virgin olive oil takes place beneath its vaulted ceiling especially for her guests.

Maura has restored two flats within the Convent: CasaEmi, Ciliegio, Ginestra, Rosmarino and Melograno, a little stone barn.

The Garden is open to all guests and follows the ancient terraced style of planting olive trees, fruit and vegetables together.

One can take meals outside under the Pergola or sunbathe in secluded places and relax under the shade of the olive trees.

The ancient olive oil mill on the ground floor forms part of the local history and has now been transformed into a small museum where the owner will be pleased to describe the old ways of extra virgin olive oil pressing.

ACCOMMODATIONS IN THE CONVENT:

Il Ciliegio: (2+1), on the first floor, comprises a double bedroom with vaulted ceiling, a small living room with mezzanine for one bed (130 cms), a kitchen, a bathroom and an open terrace with splendid views of the valley.

La Ginestra: (2+2) on the second floor of the Convent comprises a double and a twin bedded rooms, a living room with open fire, a small kitchen and a bathroom. Again with gorgeous views of the hills and the sea.


Secluded within the hills of the Gulf of Diano Marina, and surrounded by 200 year old olive groves, Borgo Muratori offers you an oasis of tranquillity only a few minutes away from the Meditarranean coast.

Enormous fig trees, giant agave, ancient lemon trees and rosemary hedges assault ones senses as soon as you arrive in this corner of Liguria.
