The Rural Lodgings of Fleckenstein are located in the North of Alsace in the
area of Wissembourg, just above the 4th town of Alsace, Haguenau.

The GITES EN VILLAGES are associations of owners of Rural lodging labelled Gites de France which proposes animations during the seasonal period to you.
There are 3 forms of lodging:
*** The rural gîte ***
often converted from a traditional dwelling, is an independant house or lodging situated near a farm or a village. Designed and equiped to accommodate people during any season, at weeks or for several weeks. The class ratings correspond to a certain degree of confort, and indicate the quality of the equipement and the pleasantness of the environment, and they give a reasonable idee of what is actually offered. Each unit of accommodation is identified and classified on a national grid created by the National Federation of Gîte in France.
*** Bed & Breakfast ***
Rooms are available in private houses which are equiped to accomodate tourists and offer them bed and breakfast for overnight stays and for longer visits : the minimal facilities would include a wachbasin, and more often a private bathroom would be available. Such accomodations are identified and classified according to the degree of confort available. Certain Bed and Breakfast also offer meals which alow visitors to discover the gastronomie of Alsace ( Advance reservation only ).
*** Gites d'Etapes ***
Gîtes and including gîtes "en route" offer similar facilities and are destined to be used by bikers, groups or families during stop-overs or longer stays. |
