The chateau is in the heart of Pays de la Loire, in the midst of 40 acres of woods, and is an excellent base from which to explore nearby vineyards and villages of Anjou, the medieval city of Angers and the Loire Valley. The chateau offers three suites and three double rooms, all recently renovated. The rooms are decorated comfortably, with fine antiques and interesting furniture and the bathrooms are elegant with state-of-the-art retro fittings and handmade tiles. There is an oak-carved library and a lovely breakfast room. The rooms are of different sizes, each differently decorated. The Chestnut Room is one of the loveliest in the chateau, with a superb view of the pond and the woods. Some rooms are romantic and suitable for two, while others will work for families. There is a lovely self-catering house, The Guard's House, which a private, four bedroom house nestled in the heart of 40 acres of woods and fruit trees. The house is a fully outfitted yet rustic 19th century cottage with a private garden and includes a kitchen (sleeps a maximum of eight people). |
