This large, eclectic and vibrant apartment is located in the centre of all that is truly Barcelona. Outside your door are countless interesting shops, museums, restaurants, clubs and bars. The world famous Las Ramblas, with its numerous performers, artists and colourful flower stands is only two minutes away. Around the corner is Placa Reial, with its beautiful palm trees and street lights designed by the famous Catalan architect Gaudi. Here you will delight in the charm of the Barri Gotic, with its narrow streets and old world style. Visit the Gothic style Cathedral in just an eight minute walk, Roman ruins in a short six-minute walk, and Plaza del Pi, a charming square full of artists and musicians, in only three minutes. If you have children, make the 15-minute walk to the Parc de la Ciutadella, Barcelona’s largest park. It boasts a zoo, three museums, and a lavish Modernista fountain.

The apartment, built in 1851, measures 110 sq. meters and was completely refurbished in 2003. Updated with modern conveniences, the apartment still retains the flavour of old world Spain. Here you will find the wonderful original tile work and beautiful rustic beams intact. Each room is colourful, warm and inviting. In the front of the apartment is a large bedroom with double bed and custom walk-in closet. There are two other bedrooms with double beds, and a 4th bedroom with single beds that can be pushed together to make a double. The living room is large and stylish. It features two large doors leading to a narrow balcony and also has a double sofa bed. The kitchen is open and airy, with a large door leading to a second balcony that faces the back of a church where you can enjoy the charm of ringing church bells. The kitchen has all the modern necessities, including a microwave and dishwasher. There is one bathroom with a shower and a second complete bath, along with laundry facilities. The apartment is on the second floor and does not have an elevator. The entrance and the stairs in this building have only been partially restored.
