Property Details

Village House I, Casa de Aldea Prieto I, is a stone house, restored in 1995, with the traditional wooden balcony/gallery along the front of the building. It has a side entrance next to the porch which is enclosed by a low wall and which has an original table made from a wheel and a stone bench. Both Peña Rueda and PeñaUbiña and Lindes Wood form part of the view from the house.

The house has two floors with a wooden staircase and bannister. The decoration has been carefully thought out – conserving the old rustic features and adding the comfort looked for today – high quality furniture and old utensils mix well together in the different spaces, such as the collection of oil lamps hanging from the sitting room ceiling.

Downstairs, crossing through the rustic entrance way there is a sitting/dining room, the kitchen, and a fully-fitted bathroom.
-The sittingroom contains the open fire, television, and bookshelves with books and guides to the area. It also has a sofa bed suitable for two (1.35m wide).
-The kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and all the necessary equipment – a coffee machine, juice extractor, pots and pans, crockery, cleaning materials etc.

Upstairs is the access to the gallery and the bedrooms. It has two double bedrooms – one with two singles and the other a double bed, both equipped with sheets, blankets, eiderdowns, towels etc. Should it be required, a crib is also available.

The house has central heating and hot water, a washing machine, clothes line, iron, brooms and mops etc.
It is possible to park near the house.

Tenants have use of the garden with tables, benches and barbecue.

The capital of Quirós, Bárzena, is 11 kilometres from the village, where small shops will meet all your needs. If you do not wish to cook, the Melchor restaurant is just one hundred metres away, and you may eat there, or order food made from local produce to take home with you.

Casa Prieto I is a self-contained house, with two triskeles, available for renting all year round
