Vacation Rental B&B Room Accommodations at the Farmhouse on the West Coast of Majorca Mallorca Balearic Islands

S’Olivar is a peaceful, private, fifteen acre mountain farm where an intimate landscape joins spectacular mountain and ocean vistas. On the edge of the Mediterranean, it lies in the largest valley of Estellencs in an exceptionally beautiful, environmentally protected, corner of Mallorca in the middle of the Sierra Tramuntana, at the foot of majestic Galatzó Peak.


S’Olivar and its buildings are the seat of the Fundació S’Olivar, whose mission includes ecology, solidarity and cultural and spiritual values. It is an old farm with stone terraces and ancient olive trees, as well as figs, almonds, and carobs and an oak and pine forest. One of the houses, which dates from the twelfth century, has been restored with all of the amenities that one would expect in a tourist accommodation. All rooms have full private baths, and every house has a living/dining room with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and other appliances. Almost the entire finca has WLAN internet coverage. Guests have free and unlimited access to internet, either from their own notebooks or from the PC terminal that the Foundation has installed in the library.


The largest of the accommodations for agritourism consists of two large rooms, each of which can sleep three people. In the area where strict silence is maintained, there is a house with two double rooms dedicated to agritourism, as well as two small hermitages where an individual or couple could rest or do a retreat for a few days.


The village of Estellencs, where there are several restaurants, is located five minutes away on foot, (400 meters). Estellencs sits 300 meters above a cove, whose clear waters invite one for a swim during most of the year. There are also many beautiful hiking trails in the mountains, and from Galatzó Peak (1052 meters) one can see practically the entire island.
