ITALY TUSCANY FLORENCE 10 km - San Casciano Val di Pesa
The farmhouse is situated in the hills of San Casciano, halfway between Spedaletto and Chiesanuova. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes surrounding Florence, with an abundance of olive groves and vineyards typical of the area.
The farmhouse is located on a hilltop position that provides a spectacular 360 degree view. To the north is the city of Florence (on a clear day the famous Duomo is visible from here). Looking, instead, from east to west you will be able to see vineyards, olive grove and woods: these are the sweet hills of the Chianti!
You can visits Florence and the Tuscan staying in the countryside. The center of Florence is only 12 km from the Farm. The bus stop for the centre of Florence at only 4 km, with free car parking. SIENA, SAN GIMIGNANO, VOLTERRA, PISA, LUCCA and all the cultural resorts of Tuscany are reachable quickly and comfortably. Also, the main road (superstrada) to take you to Siena is 5 km away.
The property is near to San Casciano in Val di Pesa (4 km away), where you can find shops, banks, and restaurants that serve traditional Tuscan cuisine. In the outskirtses find some handlings, the communal swimming pool, tennis, golf and the possibility of chartering of bicycles.
For holiday almost 1 week, we will offer to our hosts a bottle of vine Chianti Classico D.O.C.G.
The working farm is set in seven acres of land cultivated with vines and olive trees. Simona and Roberto, the owners also grown superb seasonal fruit and vegetables in their gardens.Within this land is the stone farmhouse. It has been lovingly restored and much care has been taken to retain its original features and materials. There is a traditional bread oven, a cellar where homemade olive oil is kept, doors made from Cypress trees, old stone sinks and urns in Tuscan terracotta.
The discreet owners live to one side of the farmhouse. The other side has been dedicated to providing two apartments. One of the apartments (Vite) has two double bedrooms and sleeps four people. The other apartment (Olivo) has one double bedroom and sleeps two people. Below are some photos of Apartment Olivo.
Each apartment has been tastefully and traditionally decorated and has a kitchen/diner, a living area and a shower room. The kitchen comprises a fridge, hob and electric oven. A washing machine is available on request. There is a large, furnished garden on two sides of the apartment area, which guests are welcome to use. There is also a car parking space. Homegrown produce are offered to the guests.
