South Africa luxury bed and breakfast in Muckleneuk, Pretoria, offering superb ambiance and hospitality in individually themed suites.
The first building on this property high up on the slope of Muckleneuk Ridge with its panoramic views of the Capital City was erected in the 1920's. Gerard Moerdijk, the famous architect who among others designed the Voortrekker Monument bought a piece of the original property from his father-in-law and built his first residence on it. The Moerdijk family lived next door from 1924 till 1954, and today the magnificent house is a heritage site.
In 2003, with much dedication and tender loving care, the homestead was restored to its former glory. In 2005, the outbuildings were transformed into differently themed suites.
Today, this guesthouse is reputedly better than 'home', with an appeal rarely found in the hospitality industry, and consists of 8 exquisite suites all offering unsurpassed comfort, ambience & hospitality.
Facilities include a communal bar and a swimming pool, both situated in the tranquil garden. Guests can also lounge in the lapa. Services include internet access, an in-house decor specialist and catering for small workshops, weddings and other intimate occasions.
On arrival either by car or on the Gautrain from OR Tambo airport, the architecture of the UNISA Theo van Wijk building, and the Telkom Tower grace the skyline.

We booked as an overnight before our daughter returned to school in Swaziland. Treetops offered a family room at an affordable rate in a good area. There are a variety of restaurants very close to the Guest House. Breakfast the next morning was great. Jeff is friendly and helpful and even allowed me to do a quick load of washing the night before. We would highly recommend this accommodation

This place is ideally suited for access to Unisa. It is literally a stone's throw away from the Muckleneuk campus with the Groenkloof Spar on the other side of the hill. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The garden quiet and beautiful with much entertainment provided by the pair of breeding Black Collared Barbets. I enjoyed the safety and security of this peaceful place very much

We absolutely enjoyed our stays. The first impression of this beautifull house situated in a wonderfull garden stayed an as we saw the spacious and well equipped rooms. The service was great, with the english gentleman being a wonderfull advisor and a great cook of breakfasts. One feels truly welcome and every wish is granted. I hope that some day we will come back.
