The Villa is situated on a hill overlooking Florence, passing by the church of St. Margherita a Montici and following the road that leads to the Arno. It is about 3 km by walk from Ponte Vecchio, in the center of Florence. A nice walk on foot on the panoramic road through old stone walls and olive groves will take you to the historic center in no time.
The Villa, which is in Victorian style and was built at the end of the 19th century, has been recently renovate with a great historical and artistic value, where everything is furnished with the owners’ very good taste.
The Villa has three levels. From the main entrance you will access the ground floor living rooms, all with hand-made terracotta tile floors. The stone staircase leads to the upstairs guest rooms. Our rooms are remarkably bright and elegantly furnished.
The Villa has three suites on the noble floor and as they are all very roomy there is also the possibility of adding a single bed.
The “Purple Suite”, stylishly decorated and enriched with luxurious tapestry, offers an incredible view of Florence through its large windows and consists of a king-size bed, a private bathroom with a cast iron bathtub and a small anteroom with a single bed.
The “Green Room” is a charming and comfortable room with private bathroom, a king-size baldachin bed and antique furniture. The two windows open on the Florence hills. The bathroom is decorated with stucco work and has a bathtub.
The “Red Room” has three windows that face the garden and the southern hill of Florence. It has a dressing room and an outside private bathroom with stucco work and a hydromassage shower.
The other rooms are on the second floor and they all have shared bathrooms with shower. They are very confortable and elegant. On this floor there is a living room, which is furnished in a very comfortable way with a big sofa and can be used by all the guests. Here you can have a chat with other guests or watch TV and you have the access to the terrace that overlooks the surrounding hills.
From the Villa’s Italian garden, with ancient cypresses and olive trees, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city of Florence, from the Brunelleschi dome to the bordering grassy hills of the Tuscan countryside.
With both luxurious spaces under the sun and comfortable shaded areas, this is an ideal place to relax, read, take in the sunrays or simply enjoy the view and the surrounding nature. In the middle of the vineyards, olive groves, cypresses and pines rise some villas with their colorful gardens, rose-bushes and lemon plants. All these villas once were farmhouses been renovated in a typical Tuscan style.
Even if we are very closed to the town center, in the most warm moments of a day you can hear the chirping of cicadas and once it gets darker you can hear the chirping of crickets, while during the night the dark sky brightened with the intermittent light of the fireflies.
The Italian breakfast, which is included in the price of the stay, is served from our staff in the breakfast room and includes healthy and natural Tuscan products such as fresh milk, tea, espresso coffee, juice, toasted Tuscan bread, jams and honeys and home-made cakes.

By Bus from the train station:
Take the No. 23 at the BACK door of train station to Piazza Ferruci. (Two bridges upstream from Ponte Vecchio).Go straight in viale Michelangiolo and turn on your left in via Marsuppini .Take the first on your right in via Benedetto Fortini , and turn right in via di Santa Margherita a Montici; you 'll find the villa on you left after about 250 mt at the number 21.
By Car:
From Piazza Ferucci proced straight in via Gian Paolo Orsini , turn on your right invia di Ricorboli ;at the stop take the left in via Coluccio Salutati and turn right in via di Ripoli.
At the first traffic light , turn right in via del Larione ,at the end of the road take the right in via Benedetto Fortini.Then take the first street on your left which is via di Santa Margherita a Montici.You can find the villa on your left after about 250 mt.at the number 21.
By car(from the motorway):
take the exit Firenze Sud and follow the indications for viale Europa.Go straight in viale Giannotti and turn left in via guccione .At the traffic light go straight on in via del Larione ,at the end of the road take the right in via Benedetto Fortini.Then take the first street on your left which is via di Santa Margherita a Montici.You can find the villa on your left after about 250 mt.at the number 21. |
