The peaceful cobbled pathways of the village of Megalochori makes a much sought after and appreciated alternative to the bustling and jostling of the busy city of Fira.
The beautiful villa is just a short stroll from the central village square with its pretty churches and picturesque Venetian bell towers.
Behind its bare, high stone walls and imposing large wooden entrance gates, one encounters villa’s secluded and pretty private courtyard, complete with the recent addition of a cooling, soothing swimming pool.


Sun loungers and umbrellas provide respite from the Santorini sun.
Lit up at night, the courtyard is truly beautiful.
Double doors lead directly from the courtyard into the earth coloured lounge and dining areas featuring high vaulted ceilings and original polished wooden floors.
Simply furnished, yet luxuriously appointed, two bedrooms, one master and one smaller second bedroom, lead off from either side of the central living room.
One bathroom in hushed hues with modern amenities is shared between both bedrooms.

The well equipped, modern kitchen has an original, cooling stone arch which now serves as a washing up and preparation area.
The outdoor kitchen garden is perfect for enjoying alfresco meals under the Santorini skies whilst absorbing the village atmosphere almost within arms reach.

The indigenous structure that is the villa was built around the mid 19th century and inhabited by one of the feudal landlords of the island at that time. These merchants and land barons became wealthy exporting the unique Vinsanto wine the island still produces. Trade brought wealth and wealth led to the Mansion Houses. Interesting to note is that Megalochori had a particularly strong link with the port of Odessa in Russia. Many of the church bells which still toll in the village today are from Russia.
Organic and minimalist, in an earthy way, the villa now has the luxury of all modern conveniences.

Appropriate for those who wish to sit back and enjoy Santorini from a different perspective.
The tourist attractions, including Fira and Oia, are only a short drive away.

1. RESERVATION
A deposit of 30% of the property rental must be paid. Your reservation will not be confirmed unless the deposit is received.

2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
The balance of your account should be settled on arrival.

3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment; we shall then be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost:
6 weeks or more prior to arrival: 30%
6 – 4 weeks prior to arrival: 50%
4 weeks prior to arrival: 100%
All cancellations must be done in writing and signed by the signatory of the reservation form.

4. CANCELLATION OR AMENDMENTS BY US
In the unlikely event that we will have to make any changes to your confirmed reservation, we will advise you at the earliest date. If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide you with the property you have reserved, we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar or better property. If you however do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the reservation and refund the amount paid to us in full. We will not be held liable for any cancellation charges for travel arrangements.

5. NUMBER OF GUESTS
Only those persons stipulated on the reservation form may use the villa. The number of people must not exceed the number of sleeping space indicated in the brochure. Should the key holder find more persons than those stated, it is totally up to his discretion to ask the clients to vacate the property.

6. INSURANCE
We strongly advise that your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against trip cancellation. The appropriate coverage should be purchased at the time of the booking. Please contact your travel agent, travel consultant or insurance broker about this.

7. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME
Check-in time is from 3pm – 8pm. Check-out time is 12am. In case of flight delays or inconvenience whilst traveling, guests should contact us at their earliest convenience.

8. COMPLAINTS
Each villa is maintained to the highest standards. Should you experience any difficulties during your stay, we will do our utmost to assist and solve the problem as soon as possible.

9. CLEANING
The villa will be serviced on a daily basis. Should you require further services, please make the necessary arrangements at the start of your holiday. Extra services will be for your own account.

10. PETS
Pets are generally not accepted in our properties.

11. SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool, when available, will be maintained by the staff. If your rental period is before 1 April after 1 October, please check if the swimming pool is operational. The pool use is at the guest’s own risk, children should be supervised.

12. WATER & ELECTRICITY
Please note that the villas are situated on a small island with severe problems of drought. Therefore, water is a commodity to be used sparingly during the summer months. If you experience a shortage of water, we will do everything we can to re-establish the supply. Electricity can also be disrupted, normally for a short period of time. We can however not be held responsible for any inconvenience created that is beyond our control.

13. VALUABLES
Valuables left at the property are done so at the GUEST’S own risk. We cannot be held responsible for their loss. By signing the reservation form, the client totally and unconditionally accepts these reservation conditions.
