The Vacation House B&B Le Oche Grigie (The Grey Geese) is located in the beautiful hills of Tuscany, just outside the village of Farneta and a few steps from a 9th century Abbey (from scenes in the movie 'Under the Tuscan Sun'), ten minutes outside the historic Etruscan city of Cortona. The House built in the late 1800’s, offers comfortable apartment, only for rent, finished in high standard, all with air conditioning and heating. Apartments are furnished with antiques in a simple and relaxed style. Each apartment includes a full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with two or three beds. Some apartment has connecting doors to accommodate larger parties. Some ground floor apartment also have patios with garden table and armchairs. The swimming pool surrounded by olive trees is an ideal place to pass one's time to relax. In front of our House there is a riding school, at 7 km from us there is a Golf Club and in 15 minutes drive, you can arrive in a warm thermal waters Centre.
Le Oche Grigie position allows easy access to all the sights of Tuscany, Umbria, Rome and Lazio. The House is 30 km miles Siena, 43 iles from Perugia, 55 miles from Assisi, 20 miles from Arezzo, 25 km from Monepulciano, 37 km from Pienza, 18 km from Trasimeno Lake, 95 km from Florence and 160 km from Rome. The House is ten minutes outside the historic walled city of Cortona, located at the foot of Mt. St Egidio. Cortona was founded by the Etruscan tribe and later colonized by the Romans. Cortona is prestigious as a capital, it's surrounded by the original wall built by the Etruscan tribe. The wall stretches along the steep slopes of Mt St Egidio for a total length of almost two miles. Walking down National Street you can see many beautiful palaces. One of these is Casali's Palace. The Casali family ruled the city of Cortona for almost a century. Casali's Palace is the site of the Etruscan Academy and the Museum. At the top of Cortona you can see the Medici's Fortress of 1549.
Notes to the rental rates
Included: electricity, water, cooking gas, cribs, mountain bikes, final cleaning. Not included: air conditioning charged at 1,00 Euro per metered hour, heating 12,00 Euro a day (only if used). Washing machine €3,00.
Payment: 20% at the reservation, settlement cash before departure.
Easter, Christmas and New Year will be charged at High Season Rates.
Bed and Breakfast Solution is available in Low and Mid Season, the prices is: €40,00 per person per night, children till 5 years gratis; from 6 to 10 years - 50%. , all included.
Apartments are rented in high season on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. Check-in time is after 6:oo p.m.; check-out time is before 10:00 a.m.
Prices vary seasonally and by apartments. In the others months of the year could be reserved even for more short periods ( at the minimum of 2 nights). In this case, if you want, we can offer Bed and breakfast.
A 30% reservation fee is required to hold your reservation. Reservation may be changed or cancelled up to 30 days before your arrival date; after that, you will forfeit your deposit. A refundable deposit of 200 Euros is due upon arrival and, in absence of damages, will be returned to you upon departure.
Prices Seasons limits
LOW: February, March, April (Easter escluded), October ,November, Dicember till the 22nd
MEDIUM: May, June, September.
HIGH: July, August, Easter, Chrismas, New Year’s Day.
