The villa is located on quiet Isla Mujeres, a short distance off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula and accessible via ferry from Cancun. Ringed with colorful coral reefs and home to schools of many exotic fish, the area is popular for snorkeling and scuba diving. It is just a five-minute walk to the nearest beach and a few minutes to town. Vibrant colors, sunbathed and open rooms and the soothing sounds of water define this villa. Carefully crafted by its owners, who worked with a renowned local architect, the home is a modern take on traditional Mexican design, immersed with earthy elements like stone and wood. Art and artifacts appear around every corner. Accommodations for 8 include two deluxe suites plus one bedroom with twin bunk beds, suitable for younger guests. All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned and have bathrooms en suite, complete with luxurious rain showers and even ocean views. The spacious living/dining area is white and bright and leads straight out to the pool deck, which overlooks the ocean from its elevated position. A thatched bar area by the pool is great for entertaining in the evening and mixing sunset cocktails. There is a rooftop stone terrace with loungers for quieter sessions under the sun or stars. The villa has every tech amenity available, from a home theatre sound system with iPod docking station and wireless DSL Internet for guests' use free of charge.
