LUXURY VILLA VACATION RENTAL - Caribbean - Barbados - Speightstown
The villa was originally built in 1950s for US Ambassador Scotten and constructed entirely of coral stone in the grand Palladian manner (14ft ceilings in the living room). The villa retains the charm of a bygone era with many original features including the floors, designed by Oliver Messel.
Located on a half mile of pristine, sandy, beach with incredible swimming and a reef at one end ideal for snorkeling. A large area immediately in front of the house is roped off with buoys for safe swimming. The villa occupies a two acre beachfront site with spacious landscaped gardens and a 50 ft x 12 ft swimming pool has recently been added. Many giant old trees offer shade and lush tropical vegetation. Accommodations consist of 5 bedrooms in the main house and a sixth bedroom in a cottage on the grounds. Two terraces, from the north and south wing bedrooms of main house, offer additional privacy and comfort. Elegant, garden gazebo by the beach seats up to 14 people and is equipped with wet bar and fridge. - Two hours per day of complimentary water sports (winter season only) |
