Property Details

The villa is beautifiul and feels like it's way out in the country, but only 10 minutes from Siena. The room we stayed in was fabulous - really not a room but a 3 room suite adjacent to an elegant living area upstairs. The villa is beautiifully decorated but comfortable. The villa is very clean and hospitable.

We enjoyed waking up and looking out over the rolling hills and Marika put out a nice spread for breakfast Our lovely and charming hostess was one of the best parts of our stay. Marika and her sister (who is no longer at the villa) restored the villa. Marika now maintains it. She of course speaks Italian, English, and probably several other languages as she is very well educated.

Our biggest mistake was only planning to spend one night, which was an exception to Marika's usual minimum stay policy. Next time, we will plan to stay several days or a week, relax, explore Tuscany and the surrounding towns, and do a tour of the Tuscan wine country. This is a place you want to settle into and enjoy - you won't want to leave.
