Claude and Ghislene welcome you to the quiet and beauty of their 40 acres of meadow and forest known as “Belle-Vue“.

Here you may fall asleep to the deep silence of a starlit night and awake to the song of the birds. Then breakfast privately by the pool or, if you feel social, in the main house at your host's table.

“Belle-Vue“, situated within easy reach of Bergerac and its vineyards on the river Dordogne, is in the heart of the country known as the cradle of prehistory, half an hour's drive from the world-famous painted cave of Lascaux and many other grottoes and prehistoric sites. Down the valleys of the Dordogne and the Vézère are dozens of medieval castles and close by lie the 13th century fortified towns of Monpazier, Limeuil, Beaumont, Sarlat and other scenes of the Hundred Years War. In the local markets and restaurants you will find the best in fine wines and foods that this famously fruitful countryside can produce. A little further afield and you are in the true wine country of Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux itself and then the Atlantic Ocean with its miles of pinewoods and sandy beaches.

A music room (two baby-grand pianos Pleyel) opened on request to serious musicians, in the 12th century farmhouse with its Templar history. Woodland walks and more serious hiking for the energetic. Close by there is horse-back riding, canoeing on the river, golf, tennis, bathing and fishing.
