The Golf Villa

Description

This spacious and elegant 2-bedroom villa + annexe, nestled in a large lush tropical garden, sits at the foot of the Morne Brabant mountain, gazing down at the turquoise lagoon and white-sand beach 800m away. Families can truly unwind here: cool off in the pool, practice some golf putts, snooze on the lawn under a tropical tree or find quiet refuge in the well-stocked bookshelves of the sitting-room.

In view of its location, a car is essential. The property is 20 minutes by car from Black River/Tamarin with its array of restaurants, supermarkets, chemist, banks and chic boutiques. 75 minutes from the airport.
Inside

Ground Floor: The spacious high-ceilinged sitting-room, dining-room and reading area are tastefully decorated with comfortable armchairs in pastel colours, rosewood furniture and a library. They give directly on to a large terrace with views on the ocean and swimming pool. The spacious bedroom has air-con, a king-sized bed made up of 2 singles, a ceiling fan, an en suite bathroom with bath, shower/WC and a terrace with views on the sea and swimming pool. Separate cloak room. The well-equipped kitchen and its breakfast bar have modern granite worktops. Laundry room with washing machine. Small terrace at the back with table, chairs and a BBQ. Cream ceramic tiled flooring throughout.

Upstairs: The spacious and airy master bedroom with air-con, ceiling fan, a king-size bed made of 2 singles, a single sofa-bed (for a child), en suite bathroom with bath, shower/WC. The room opens on to a balcony with lovely views of the lush garden and sea beyond. It also leads to a small, narrow room with 2 bunk beds sleeping 2 children.

Outside: The small annexe, with its own independent French window opening on the back garden, has air-con, 2 single beds and a shower-room/WC.

Large fridge-freezer, 5-ring gas hob, grill/electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee-maker, washing machine, safe, TV (satellite channels), BBQ, alarm system.



Staff

Maid service from 08:30 to 13:00 every day (except on Sundays and bank holidays).



Neighbourhood
A few of Mauritius top class hotels are nearby and offer water sports facilities (for a fee) and a choice of excellent restaurants to non-residents. Within close proximity is Tamarin and Black River with their shops, supermarkets, chemists and array of restaurants offering various cuisines. Other activities nearby include: kite surf, wind surf, sea excursions by catamaran to Ile aux Cerfs and Ile aux Bénitiers, sightseeing at Parc National Des Gorges, Casela Leisure Park (1500 species of birds, elands, zebras, wallabies, walk with lions,etc), horse riding (Les Ecuries de la Vieille Cheminée at Chamarel), mountain bike riding, hiking, Quad bike excursions and Via Ferratta, tennis (Riverland in Tamarin), golf at Le Paradis Golf Course (Le Morne), Tamarina Golf estate and Le Golf du Chateau at Bel Ombre (20 minutes by car), casino (Le Morne and Flic en Flac), shopping in the chic boutiques of Ruisseau Créole.
