Discover Reims, the city of Kings, then slip away in the vineyard to travel the Champagne Tourist Route, finally discover Epernay, the capital of champagne.

Program
DAY 1 Arrival and discovery of Reims
Arrival in Reims at the end of the morning. Installation in a 3 * hotel in downtown Reims. Lunch at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant.
Meet your guide for a guided tour of some of the highlights of French history. First of all the illustrious Notre Dame Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic art, then the Tau Palace, the Saint Rémi Basilica ...
At the end of the afternoon: Visit of a prestigious Champagne House (eg Pommery, Ruinart, etc.) followed by a tasting.
Dinner in a traditional Brasserie in Reims. Overnight in a 3 * hotel.

DAY 2 Montagne de Reims
After breakfast, you will set off to explore the Champagne vineyards and the Montagne de Reims regional natural park. You will follow the Champagne Tourist Route. Later you climb the steps of the Phare de Verzenay, transformed into a vine museum, and admire the breathtaking view of the Champagne vineyards.

You will take the road again and cross many villages such as: Rilly La Montagne, Chigny les Roses (Village of Madame Pommery), Ludes le Coquet, Verzenay (with its lighthouse and its 19th century mill), Ambonnay, Louvois (whose castle was built by the famous Minister of Louis XIV) .At the end of the morning you will be invited to discover a small champagne house and taste its flute of champagne as an aperitif before lunch in a local inn.
Then possibility of discovering the famous Faux de Verzy, the extremely rare protected beech trees.
Arrival in Epernay at the end of the afternoon and free time. Installation in a 3 * hotel in the city center and free dinner.

DAY 3 The Marne Valley
After breakfast, transfer by minibus to Hautvillers, cradle of Champagne - a typical Champagne village with many wrought iron signs.
Visit followed by a tasting of a family estate in Hautvillers then walk to the Abbey which housed the famous Dom Pérignon.
Lunch in a local restaurant in a refined setting carved in chalk.
Continuation of the route in the Valée de la Marne via Cumières, Damery, where you will not fail to visit the 12th-13th century church, overlooking the village, which houses a Virgin and Child by Watteau (18th century). And return to Epernay via Boursault (and its beautiful castle which proudly dominates the valley, unfortunately not open for visits).
In the afternoon, visit the large Moët & Chandon or Mercier cellar. Free time on the famous Avenue de Champagne.
Dinner and overnight in Epernay in a 3 * hotel.

DAY 4 Côte de Blancs
After breakfast, departure for the Côte des Blancs. Bypassing Mont Bernon via Chouilly, you will descend to Pierry to visit the 18th century castle, cellar and cellars.
After Cuis and its beautiful Romanesque church, pass near the cliffs to reach Cramant and its giant bottle (8.50 m) then the small town of Avize decorated with frescoes.
Visit and tasting in a small Champagne House in Cote de Blancs.
Lunch in a Farm-Inn.
End of your Champenoise getaway.
