Located at the southern end of Copacabana beach, near Ipanema, the Rio de Janeiro Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast is a large penthouse with 6 suites, covering 2 levels of a 1940’s art deco beach frontage apartment complex.
The guesthouse includes panoramic views of Copacabana beach, Sugarloaf and Fort Copacabana and possibly the best location in Rio to view the fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
The guesthouse offers travelers an experience that is highly personal, unique, with all the comfort’s of 4-5* hotels, without some of the additional daily surcharges and fees associated with this level of comfort.

The Rooms
All six guest rooms of Rio Guesthouse are individually decorated and have high quality inner spring mattress beds, large antique wardrobes, cotton mattress protectors, luxurious linen sheets, luxury towels, goose feather pillows, and electronic safety deposit box. All rooms have them private bathroom. Our standards of bedding, linen and towels are second to none, and a point of significant differentiation to most other guesthouse accommodation. For those traveling as a family with children, three of our rooms have space for an optional additional single bed and the other rooms has space for a cradle if needed.
The Guest Rooms description:
1. Aquamarine – This ocean blue room of 25 sq meters with partial ocean view and overlooking to the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Decorated with antiques and paintings, king size bed, air conditioning, electronic safety box , and en suite bathroom. Space for an optional additional single bed upgrade available if needed.
2. Emerald – This light green room of 23 sq meters is very tranquil . Decorated with antiques and paintings, a comfortable queen size bed, air conditioning, electronic safety box, and en suite bathroom. Space for an optional additional cradle upgrade available if needed.
3. Ruby – This red/beige room of 22 sq meters with partial ocean view and overlooking Sugar Loaf Mountain. Decorated with antiques and paintings, a comfortable queen size bed, air conditioning, electronic safety box , and private adjoining bathroom. Space for an optional additional single bed upgrade available if needed.
4. Amethyst – This light purple room of 22 sq meters with partial ocean view. Decorated with antiques and paintings, a comfortable queen size bed, air conditioning, electronic safety box , and private adjoining bathroom. Space for an optional additional single bed upgrade available if needed.
5. Topaz – This blue/yellow room of 20 sq meters. Decorated with antiques and paintings, a comfortable queen size bed, air conditioning, electronic safety box , and en suite bathroom.
6. Citrine – This citric green room of 15 sq meters. Decorated with antiques and paintings, equipped with 2 single beds, ceiling fan/air conditioning, and private adjoining bathroom. The room is very functional and especially suited for children or individual travelers. |

* A 5% Service Tax is charged on the daily rate.
** Reservations of 5 Nights or more includes transfer from Airport.
*** Rates based upon 2 person occupancy. Additional charges apply for children or extra adult bedding in rooms. Extra bed in room 30% of the daily rates or package.
**** Reservations can be confirmed via direct deposit into Citibank account or Paypal. (Paypal fees are not included in deposit).
***** Deposits are non-refundable, but maybe postponed in emergency situations outside of packaged offerings for Carnivale and New Year.
