If you have the desire to discover our beautiful region of the entre-deux-mers, its wine, architecture, countryside, rivers, festivities and superb markets then come and stay with us in our Bed and breakfast very close to Saint Emilion

We are english and passionate about our adopted region and we would like to share with you all that we have discovered ourselves. We are only 15 minutes from the fabulous wine region of Saint Emilion and 40 minutes to Bordeaux.

Our Guest House, which is constructed in golden stone dates from the 18c and has been restored with great care and with respect of the traditions of the region in order to make our bed and breakfast as welcoming as possible.

We are situated in a quiet wine growing village near to St Emilion in the Gironde where you can walk peacefully around the lanes or make a visit to our wine growing neighbours. If you prefer you can rest tranquilly in our house or in the park which is shady and surrounded by an old stone wall. There is also a large salon at the disposition of our guests and you can sit and read or take an aperitif in front of the big fireplace which is lit in the autumn and winter.
We are here to make your visit the most confortable and relaxing as possible.

While driving to Paris we stopped here for an evening. Our room was just lovely and quite large. All 5 of us were in 1 room with plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. It was a very peaceful stay. We awoke rested and had a nice breakfast before continuing our journey to Versailles. The garden was beautiful and I would love to see it in summer. My husband and I just love the architecture of the home.

Our holiday in Bordeaux would not have been so enjoyable or comfortable had we not stayed at Beausejour. We were originally booked to stay there for just 3 nights then move to another chambre d'hote for 3 nights but were so happy we stayed put at Beausejour for all 6 nights! The dedication of Maureen and Jon in welcoming and looking after their guests is second to none and we feel we arrived as guests and left as friends. The room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the setting perfect, with beautiful views.. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Beausejour

I cannot say enough good things about Beau Sejour and Maureen and Jon!!! Our stay was wonderful, and the entire weekend I felt like we were staying with long-time family friends! Maureen and Jon are so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our visit was perfect (from giving us maps and guidebooks to surrounding towns to booking dinner reservations for us...which by the way was at a restaurant that gave us the best meal we have had in France!). The house absolutely oozes charm, and as beautiful as the pictures on the website are- they don´t do the rooms justice! If you stay there, make sure you have Maureen cook for you at least one night. Her cooking rivals any restaurant! We will definitely be returning!

Our 3-day stay @ Beau Sejour was beyond a 5-star experience.Maureen & Jon are the most warm, gracious, hospitable & fun couple. Then add a gorgeous estate in an idyllic setting ... makes one wish to reside there permanently! Their renovation of the country house is exemplary. The attention to detail is perfection and the addition of modern baths satiate all the senses & needs. Our stay was so enjoyable & heartwarming that we truly hated to leave. THANK YOU, THANK YOU Jon & Maureen for your gift of sharing with us. We long to revisit someday! (& scratches & hugs to the pups, too)
