La Maison D'été, a family run guesthouse and beach bungalows is a romantic hideaway for anyone looking for an escape to a peaceful haven.
Situation
Nestled on the preserved and beautiful north-east coast of Mauritius, at Poste Lafayette. At 35 minutes drive away from both the capital city, Port-Louis and Grand-Bay, at 30 minutes from Ile aux Cerfs and the Pamplemousses botanical garden, at 15 minutes from Belle-Mare and 1 hour from the airport.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation is made of six harmonious local bungalows with thatched roofs amid lush of tropical plants and all facing a clear and fresh swim pool and sea. Stepping off the veranda is the way on to a private white sand coral beach where you can laze, swim or snorkel from an ocean size natural aquarium.
Each bungalow is a double or twin bedded studio with a bathroom, wardrobes, a ceiling fan, an electric mosquito repellent, a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining place and a private terrace with lying chairs. Daily room cleaning, linen and towels and 1 additional bed for child up to 12 yrs old or a baby cot are provided free of charge.
Five bungalows are at ground floor and one on the first floor with a private balcony. Two bungalows have an interleading door.
RESTAURANT-BAR-LOUNGE
Breakfast and a menu dinner are served on request. A recreation lounge equipped with television, computer with internet access, a library and indoor games, is accessible all day.
SPORTS & LEISURE ACTIVITIES
Kayaks, table tennis, equipment for snorkelling, beach towels are all provided free of charge.
9 and18 holes Golf courses, Kite Surf, diving, deep sea fishing, spa centres are at 10- 20 minutes drive away. Massage and yoga sessions can be organised at the bungalows.
SERVICES AND FACILITIES
Airport transfers, taxi, car, scooter or bike rental, sea and land excursions and sport activities are organised from our reception desk or upon room booking.
The owners and managers, a Swiss and Mauritian couple, are both polyglots with french, english, german, italian and spanish as main languages. They live on the site and are therefore always available for the guests.
