Secluded in its grounds of 2.5 acres on the premier hillside of exclusive Cap Estate yet within easy reach of all amenities, this villa offers luxury, privacy and carefree relaxation, stunning ocean views and spectacular sunsets.
Approached through electric gates and a generous circular drive, this high-end villa with its breezy open spaces and cool marble floors throughout refreshes your senses the moment you enter its breathtaking triple-height atrium. With it’s teak colonial-style seating and a trickling fountain below a large glass-topped table, this is the heart of the house. Irresistible sea views draw you, through open archways and an airy dining room comfortably seating 12 around its custom made 12 ft teak table under a high cathedral ceiling (with fan), through triple-width glass doors beyond, to a vast, 1,500 sqft, wrap-around, covered terrace with panoramic views of the sea and Pigeon Island in the distance. This is outdoor living in style: Pretty chandeliers, cooling ceiling fans, a combination of individual dining tables with generous seating for 12+, cushioned sofas, armchairs and teak steamer chairs – this terrace invites relaxing, dining and reclining. A few steps take you down to the 25 ft pool with its built-in bench seating all tiled in Italian glass mosaics – ideal for chilling out while looking down over the sea and beach below. The porcelain tiled pool deck with decorative fountain and an adjacent coral stone sundeck are both furnished with adjustable teak loungers and large umbrellas. A more intimate retreat, the nostalgic gazebo further down the flower-filled, landscaped gardens seats just 4 for private sundowners while watching the sunset and (sometimes) even a rare 'green flash'. For those who need to stay in touch, the air-conditioned study off the atrium provides free high-speed internet access – and, for extra guests, a queen-size sofa bed (plus their own ensuite shower room). Double doors lead through to an adjoining, separately air-conditioned sitting room seating 12, with TV/CD/DVD, allowing both rooms to double as a comfortable ensuite 5th bedroom suite. On the other side of the atrium, a large, granite/stainless steel, luxury kitchen is sure to whet any gourmet's appetite: 2 sets of sinks/drainers with electric waste disposal, dishwasher, Siemens/Thermador/Sub-Zero appliances totaling 9 gas burners, a gas lava grill, 3 ovens inc. microwave, large fridge/freezer capacities, bar with two under-counter drinks fridges and a US ice cube machine (makes max. 60 pounds of clear ice cubes per day); deep fat fryer, sorbetière plus all usual facilities (coffeemakers, toaster, kettle etc). Further domestic offices include staff recreation area and shower room; utility room; large basement laundry with US washer and tumble drier etc. From the atrium, two curving marble staircases connected by a wraparound gallery with more sea views sweep you to the upper floor. Here, two cool master suites in each wing share a sunny, ocean-view balcony and a breezy, shuttered verandah. All four double bedrooms have high ceilings, marble floors and sea/sunset views. All are luxuriously appointed with separate air conditioning, mosquito nets and ceiling fans. All have their own glamorous ensuite marble shower room with double glass vanities, luxury European fittings and shaver sockets. Each suite also has its own TV, hifi/CD, fridge, coffeemaker, safe, hairdryer and telephone. Three suites are equipped with supremely comfortable US king-size beds; one has US twins capable of making up into a king-size, if preferred. Close to the main house but separate, a self contained, fully air-conditioned Garden Suite with ensuite shower room is available to larger parties at extra cost: Coral stone tiled throughout, its cozy sitting room with stylish stainless steel kitchen unit (sink, ceramic cook top, microwave/grill, full-size fridge/freezer) leads, through wide double doors, to a separate bedroom with romantic Brown Jordan queen-size bed draped in mosquito netting and out to a pretty, open balcony with lovely garden and sea views. The beach is close by and can be accessed by walking 5 minutes downhill or 2 minutes by car. This Villa is ideal for guests who prefer to get away from it all.
