Traditional 18th century Irish Farmhouse in West Cork.

Ireland Cottage Vacation Rentals 3 bedroom Self Catering Holiday Home in Dunmanway County Cork.

Our property is a traditional 18th century Irish farmhouse set in the heart of West Cork's picturesque, unspoiled countryside.
Its central location and proximity to Cork City and Airport make it a perfect base for exploring the West Cork region, or as a destination in itself for those seeking an authentic, first-hand experience of a working Irish farm, where life moves in harmony with the seasons, as it has done for generations.

The Farm Cottage 3 bedroom
This cottage is the largest rental property on the farm, combining many traditional elements of the original 18th century building with modern amenities.

With two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one twin bedroom, the Farmhouse can comfortably sleep six people, making it an ideal option for families or groups of friends.

Entering via the sunny front conservatory, guests are welcomed into an elegant living room with feature fireplace, ideal for socialising, or for quiet evenings curled up with a book. Adjacent to the living room is a large family/dining room with television. The family room leads in to a separate large, fully-equipped kitchen with several unique features including mahogany cabinets and a fantastic Stanley range cooker. Upstairs, guests will find the two generously proportioned double bedrooms as well as a twin room.

Only 50 minutes' drive from Cork International Airport, Dunmanway is geographically ideally situated to visit and experience the many hills, upland habitats, lakes and coastline of the Southwest Coast, renowned worldwide as a hot spot for sightings of rare birds. Whale watching is another rewarding activity, with frequent sightings of fin whales, basking sharks, pilot whales, minke whales, and other species.

Guests can enjoy fishing for species including Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Sea Trout, excellent hiking, game shooting in season, horse-riding, pitch and putt and kayaking. There are also many historical sites in the local area including the birthplace of Sam Maguire. As a leading member of the Dunmanway Historical Society, your host Tim is always delighted to share his extensive knowledge of the region's history with his guests.
