Li-al-do Maison is a beautiful 4-bedroom villa surrounded by a luxuriant tropical garden with its stunning swimming pool and gazebo overlooking the unspoilt bay of Takamaka, on the south-west coast of Mahé, the largest of the Seychelles islands. The architecture of the villa is very much is keeping with the unspoilt surroundings with its decorations and furniture handcrafted by local craftsmen.The villa is 20 minutes by car from the international airport and 30 minutes from Victoria, the capital. Airport transfers and
breakfast are included. A Ford Ranger (with chauffeur) is available for the use of the guests at additional cost.
Villa
The inside walls of the property as well as the flooring have been perfected with wax, by hand, to give it a patina of old. African fabrics and masks, shells, bamboo lamps, handworked trays and plates are the only adornments in the house. The living-room and dining-room are elegantly furnished with tables, chairs and chaises longues crafted locally. They give on to a large veranda with Balinese style day beds, a perfect vantage
point to view the sunset while having sundowners. All 4 bedrooms have air-conditioning, a double bed and an en suite bathroom/dressing-room.
Kitchen
Gas range, American refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and all kitchen utensils. TV set, CD and DVD players. Loungers around the pool.
Staff
• The friendly house manager speaks both English and French, and, with the help of a maid and a ground keeper, is on site to assist guests with their needs during their stay at Li-al-do. House daily cleaning bed linen and towels.
• A security guard patrols the villa grounds during the night.

Neighbourhood
The villa is 10 minutes’ walk from the beautiful beach of Takamaka and its sheltered bay which is recommended for snorkelling. Nearby is the well-known Chez Baptista restaurant which specialises in Creole cuisine. Anse à la Mouche is a large palm-fringed bay ideal for swimming in view of its shallow waters. Other beautiful bays to visit in the vicinity are Petit Anse (also called Blue Lagoon), Anse Soleil and Anse Intendance
although the latter is not safe for swimming during the monsoon season (May to September). There is a great choice of restaurants and shops nearby. There are tennis courts and a casino at Plantation Hotel. Golf is available at Anse Les Pins (9-hole). Other activities include: Bird watching, deep-sea fishing, glass-bottom boat trips to Ste Anne Marine National Park as well as excursions around Mahé Island with BBQ lunch at St Therese Island, motorised water sports at Beau Vallon, horse-riding at Barbarons and Grand Anse, catamaran excursions to marine parks and island hopping, nature tours (flora and fauna) with guide. |
