New at Hacienda Chichen is the Yaxkin Spa and Maya Retreat. "Yaxkin" means "The Place of Renewal" in Maya. The Spa offers Maya massage, facials and other services informed by Mayan rituals and ceremonies and designed to reduce stress, revitalize beauty and harmonize the mind, body & spirit.

Hacienda Chichen Resort lies just next to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza on the Yucatan Peninsula. The same family has run the Hacienda as a hotel for over 50 years, and now the newest generation of owners has created an eco-resort with luxury accommodations for all to enjoy.

From the moment you enter the Hacienda Chichen Resort compound, you will be enveloped in a tropical garden wonderland where flowers, birds, fountains and antique buildings greet you at every turn. The Casa Principal of the hacienda houses a reception area, a restaurant with seating outside on the terrace or inside in air-conditioned comfort. There is also a library full of historical reference books about the hacienda, the Mayans and the Mayan sites throughout the Yucatan. Upon checking in, you will be escorted to one of 15 bungalows where each room is unique in its history and design. During the last century, many famous archaeologists have stayed at Hacienda Chichen while exploring and studying Chichen Itza, and each cottage is named after a famous archaeologist of the area.
