Opera Mineur is so perfectly located, it's tempting to just move there, and experience the wonderful quality of life Lyon has to offer, with excellent shops, 'bouchons', services and metro within a short block away. Marlys says there are "no soft edges" in the flat, partly due to its contemporary design and partly to a very firm bed--which is one of the pluses in my mind! The flat is probably one of the best equipped AirBnB spots we have tried, with high tech full-service kitchen plus other typical items, all of which worked well. Do ask about how to operate those high-tech appliances, especially the cooktop, if you are not comfortable with purely logic-driven controls. The sofa is more for sleeping than sitting, but we did hang out after long days touring to watch BBC and CNN English broadcasts. The flat is right only if you want to climb: it is on the 'deuxieme etage' (3rd floor) but that's with 16 foot ceilings and lots of flights up stairs, plus the internal stairs to the loft. Finally, make sure in advance about how to meet up with your host: EXACTLY where and when will you meet? If all this sounds right for you, I can strongly recommend the flat, and would gladly rent it again.

Delightful! My husband & I were warmly welcomed & received many useful tips on Lyon from Jean-Philippe. The apartment was as pictured - very well located, clean, comfortable & snazzy. A great home away from home. Merci beaucoup Jean-Philippe.
