South Africa Lodge Vacation Rentals - Luxury Lodge in a Malaria Free Game Reserve near the Botswana Border
This is a Lodge is for families, where children of all ages are welcome. The deluxe suites are spacious & comfortable, with wood-burning fireplaces, private plunge pools and outdoor showers. Family Suites are available, with adjoining rooms for younger safari enthusiasts.
The game reserve is situated in a region of South Africa which the malaria carrying mosquito (Anopheles) does not inhabit, and the reserve and region is therefore classed as a malaria-free region.
Morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles, see the BIG 5, enjoy boma dinners (dinner under the stars sitting around a open fire) and spa. You can also explore the bush by foot and enjoy Africa at its best. Unfortunately restrictions apply for children of 5 and younger
Teachers. Guardians. Friends: The guides take great pride in what they do, as well as in the environment around them. This attitude is what enables the gift of the most genuine and un-spoilt view of Africa’s wildlife and landscapes as you out into the bush every-day. A safari is so much more than The Big Five, and the guides have an interest in every creature – big and small.
It would be difficult to find a team of more enthusiastic guides who enjoy nothing better than starting and finishing each day out in the wild in search of animals big and small. Whether leopard or chameleon, rhino or dung beetle, they will share a riveting story and teach you something you never knew before.
The goal is to give each and every guest an experience that they will never forget, to share this really special place, and experience, and in the process hopefully to also create awareness of the need for conservation in Africa. Guests young and old make a captive audience, and no guest is less important than another.
Game Drives head out early morning at sunrise, and late afternoon just before sunset in search of the many animal species which call this place home. No more than 8 people at a time share in a private and intensely personal safari experience in the company of their Guide.
Guided walks are a different way to appreciate the bush, and to enjoy a unique perspective of the reserve from ‘terra firma’.
SAFETY FIRST!
Guides accompanying guests will conduct a pre-trail briefing. They will explain more about the area in which the walk will take place, and what walkers need to know. This will include how guests should walk (single file behind the guide, no lagging behind), what to do in certain instances when encountering animals on the walk, information on medical kits and handheld radios etc.) First Aid kits and handheld radios are standard equipment on walks, so that in the unlikely event of an emergency, the group has contact with the lodge and access to basic medical equipment.

Great place for both couples and families. All rooms have a plungepool which was great as well as Aircon and fan so all temperatures catered for. Little touches like a daily chat with housekeeping, boma dinner and treats on special days like Valentines Day were lovely. Staff are great, we were thoroughly pampered. Rooms are superb, loved the 'gym in a bag'. Our ranger was fantastic, we saw so much and had many laughs, learnt a lot and even landed up two metres from a kill with two hungry lion, thanks Daniel.

Just left today and we were there as a family group. Shawn was our lodge manager and ran behind the scenes expertly and arranged a stunning night dinner out in the bush. These people are often forgotten about but we recognised all the hard work he put in to make ours a special experience. JP was our safari guide for the 4 days, our group gelled with him instantly. His guiding was excellent, being both light hearted and very knowledgable and we had wildlife sightings of a lifetime. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for him personally if we were to return. However one of fantastic things about his guiding, and the organisation of wildlife sightings was one of the best things. There were a number of groups in the area, but the number of cars around one animal sighting was carefully controlled. This ensures that the welfare of animals was a top priority, their behaviours are kept natural and in this way the guests see the best of the wildlife. Having code's of conducts and enforcing the rules shows that these guys have a conservation focus, looking after their wildlife. We has the trip of a lifetime, many thanks!

Our experience exceeded our expectations of what a safari would be like. Everything from start to finish was 5 star. We had our own ranger, Daniel, for 3 days and he was very knowledgeable, personable and fun. Our children, aged 10 and 13, absolutely loved it as well. We saw the big 5 and so much more. All the staff at the lodge were amazing and the food and drink (all inclusive) was beyond a 5 star restaurant. The food and beverage manager Shaun made sure we had everything we wanted throughout the day. Our accommodation was a huge 2 bedroom family lodge with a private plunge pool. So clean and had everything you could possibly need. To sum it up, our experience was a dream come true. I would recommend it highly to anyone considering going and I would love to go back again one day. Thank you to all the staff at the lodge.
