We are housed in a 2-storey colonial pre-war shop-house that has been painstakingly restored to its former glory. Each suite is furnished with Peranakan and mid-century art décor furniture from our private collection. All suites have timbre louvered windows which opens either out onto Love Lane or into our indoor courtyard.

Love Lane, which is situated within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town, is surrounded by beautifully restored and historical buildings. We are conveniently located a stone’s throw away from Cheung Fatt Tze Mansion, Little India, Fort Cornwallis, and The Goddess of Mercy temple, allowing you to experience and immerse your senses in olden day living as you connect with the diverse cultures and heritage in the surrounding area. As we are situated in the heart of George Town, you will be able to effortlessly discover the unique heritage of Penang through the architecture, festivities and food – which is ultimately a union of cultural elements from elsewhere in this Malay Archipelago, India and China and Europe.

This studio suite is situated at the north end of the building, the timbre louvered windows in this suite open out to look onto Love Lane. It has high ceilings and air-conditioning to keep the afternoon heat at bay. The suite is furnished with a mid-century style queen-sized teak bed, a rustic wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with polished monochrome tiles in a Victorian-inspired pattern and a rain shower. The simple yet stunning feature wall of salvaged “kampung” or village house timbre adds warmth and colour to this suite.
