Our property is surrounded by the waters of the Long Island Sound and an inlet of Shelter Bay. Built originally as a summer home for a wealthy New Jersey Doctor, our Long Island bed and breakfast retains the original beach rights with private beaches and moorings to both the Long Island Sound and the Bay; the former perfect for swimming, snorkeling and walking and the latter for fishing, sailing and water sports.
Five guest rooms, each with private baths, feature central air conditioning, flat screen TVs, premium cable, hi-speed wireless internet, and the finest linens and mattresses to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. Each morning our inn guests are treated to a wonderful gourmet breakfast in the inn’s dining room.
If you want to travel for an extended stay with younger children or family pets, stay in one of our beach house vacation rentals. The House is located right across the street from our Long Island bed and breakfast, and just down the lane is the Southold Inlet House. 4 additional waterfront beach houses are available, all are managed to the standards of our top rated long island bed and breakfast to ensure a fantastic vacation for our visitors.
The area is rich and diverse, offering activities and relaxation for every type of traveler. From relaxing on beaches, to sightseeing, shopping, boating and golfing, your only issue will be staying long enough to do it all.

- From May 15th to November 1st there is a 2 night minimum and 3 night stay required on holiday weekends (Memorial, Independence, Labor, Columbus, Valentine’s).
- Check in is after 3:00 PM and check out is 11:00AM.
- 50 % deposit is required at the time of reservation for most stays.
- Refunds for cancellation with 7 days notice less administrative fee of $20.00.

This is our 5th time coming back to our favorite bed and breakfast in the world. Nothing recharges the batteries like an escape from the city to a weekend of sleeping in and wine tasting by day and dinners out by night. We have stayed in a different room each time and none have let us down. Looking forward to the fall foliage at a few of the different local nature walks Marilyn suggested. Marilyn and her son have outdone themselves with hospitality. On arrival, you step through the gorgeous gardens into her home foyer and living room. The music, cookies, coffee and tea waiting for you were just a sign of the treatment you'd receive through your stay. Marilyn was everything an innkeeper should be ... educational, sweet and a killer cook. Breakfast was indulgent. The food was fresh ..... the eggs literally came from the chickens kept in the back. The rooms were comfortable and everything was well kept. We stayed in the Silk Room and the king sized bed made you feel like a king.
