The Cottage on the coast, in a peaceful and tranquil setting between the magical Lough Hyne (saltwater lake) and Baltimore
You will find an orchard we planted years ago and a meadow of wildflowers. The plants and flowers were chosen for their utilities to encourage butterflies and birds visiting the garden.
We garden organically, limiting the impact on the environment, we use cleaning products environmentally friendly, encouraging recycling and provide Irish handmade soaps.

We try to support local farmers and businesses by buying only local produce for welcome packs, which include free-range eggs, local sausages and bacon, Irish Oats cereals, milk and butter Clonakilty handmade. We bake our own bread, jams or marmalade in the welcome pack.

There are lovely walks around, such as an abandoned village overlooking the Atlantic and Loch Ine (Lough Hyne) - first marine nature reserve of Ireland. Baltimore, you can take a ferry to the islands of Sherkin and Cape Clear (bird sanctuary) and even the Fastnet Rock.

Baltimore itself is a small fishing village and a lively marina with lots of good restaurants. Previous guests have enjoyed driving along the coast to visit the different secluded beaches and bays or experience the mink Cape Head and numerous peninsulas sometimes inspiring fear during storms and for the most adventurous mountain to Sight the Lady overlooking the lakes of Killarney.
Other activities such as diving, fishing off the dock in Baltimore for mackerel and avid photographers have captured the spectacular scenery and for those interested in the history of the region.
