This apartment is as fantastic as it looks and Marilyn is a fantastic host - certainly worthy of her Superhost status. Her home has amazing views of the Matterhorn and is quite comfortable, spacious, and clean, as well as in a great location in Zermatt. She checked in several times throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Thank you for making my family's stay in Zermatt so memorable!!

This house couldn’t be more perfect. Marilyn and family were extremely helpful, responsive and welcoming. Anytime we had a question or needed anything they were quick to respond and were attentive. The house itself was well equipped with everything you could possibly need, and new. The rooms have the capability to have multiple sleeping arrangments. The house is located in a convenient location next to a store, a great restaurant and a playground for children. This is the perfect place for a family with or without young children, and very safe for them to go off and explore. It is just a short walk to the main matterhorn lift, and next to the bus stop that runs frequently. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and hospitatlity. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and plan on it!

A beautiful chalet, absolutely perfect in every way.. Spotlessly clean, equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay, great view of the Materhorn from our terrace and for the kiddies a playground next door. In addition there were many unexpected extras provided like Nespresso coffee capsules, fruit, chocolates & local biscuits, laundry detergent etc. There was also a private sauna in the basement.

Even before we arrived in Zermatt, because of our initial communications with the owner Marilyn and Ed the concierge, we were confident that we were about to have a terrific vacation. They were exceptionally helpful and eager to accommodate all of our requests. Upon arrival at the chalet, we were greeted by Marie, our chef, and her husband Mark, who managed the chalet. The chalet itself is delightfully comfortable, incredibly clean and perfect for a ski vacation. We loved the location in Winkelmatten, which is a quiet area, with easy access to the gondola. It is directly across the way from a small children’s playground and two neighborhood style restaurants that serve delicious Swiss style food. And to top it off we had magnificent views of the Matterhorn. We have only the highest praises for Maria and Mark, our chef and house manager. It was a pleasure to come down to a delicious breakfast every morning. Our favorite dinners were the ones served in our chalet. Just imagine, after a full day of skiing with our exceptional tour guide Andreas (arranged by Ed) how wonderful it was to relax and enjoy a gourmet meal, with all the comforts of home. Obviously, our experience at the Ulysse Chalet far exceeded our expectations. We spent our trip home, trying to figure out when we can return again. Bravo! This was one of our favorite places to stay on our vacation. The view of matterhorn is better than the pictures show. There is a beautiful balcony, plus you can see it from most of the windows. The apartment is very well docorated and is very clean. Our children spent a few hours playing in the park next door, which has a zipline and a few unique swings that were very fun. Marilyn was a gracious and helpful hostess. We texted back and forth several times and she even let us borrow her fondue pot so we could make our own fondue at home (we bought the cheese, bread and fruit at Coop). The sauna was nice, and the washer and dryer downstairs was very convenient. I highly recommend this place.
