Our Country Manor is situated on a wine estate, Northern Paarl wine route (R45) and set in the Berg River valley facing the magnificent Drakenstein mountains. We look forward to welcoming you to share in the experience offering luxury accommodation, fine wines, old fashioned hospitality and relaxation, surrounded by vineyards and fruit trees.
This mountain-facing manor house with 3 standard, 5 deluxe and 3 luxury rooms, provides the ultimate South African winelands’ experience. Weather permitting, breakfast is served on the terrace. With African hardwood decor and majestic views, it creates a tapestry of imaginative tales of the past, intertwined with an understanding of the 360 year heritage of the area, aptly named “the Pearl”.
All rooms offer the option of either twin or king size extra-length beds, extremely comfortable and manufactured with non-allergenic fabrics. Large HD TV units with a personal DSTV decoder, air conditioned with Wifi and a comfortable working environment for business guests. Bathrooms offer shower and bath and all facilities expected of an upmarket venue.
All 11 rooms are spacious, with stunning views of the estate vineyards set in the Berg river valley and Drakenstein mountains.

Eleven beautifully appointed luxury rooms. Eight on the first floor, two terraced suites, and one with private entrance.
A primary suite for handicapped persons and a further suite wheelchair friendly
Spacious en-suites with bath, large walk-in shower, bidet, toilet and large basin
Extra-length king or twin beds, exclusively designed with pocket springs, natural latex and non-allergenic fabrics
HD format TV’s with individually selected cable channels and DSTV.

All rooms are non-smoking, however smoking is permitted on the ground floor room patios.
The wines of the estate are produced in the classical wine-making tradition of the original farm, (circa 1692) from four distinctly different terroirs. Guests can enjoy home made preserves and jellies made from farm fresh produce.
The estate is only a few minutes from the historical town of Paarl and is surrounded by a truly incredible choice of mountain hikes, cycle tracks, historical monuments, museums, golf estates, art studios and world-renowned wine estates which can be discussed with our guests and advice given to perfect their holiday.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Rates are quoted per person sharing in South African Rand, inclusive of a full breakfast.
Rates include bed and full breakfast, Vat & Tourism Levy.
Single occupancy per room less 25% of double room rate; i.e. 75% of double room cost.
We reserve the right to amend rates and/or cancel bookings.
All amendments and cancellations to reservations must be received in writing.
Children over 12 are welcome.
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY – INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS:
Deposit of 60% is required on making a reservation, or full credit card details of the card to be used for payment. If credit card details are provided, deposit will not be taken and whole amount will be settled on day of departure.
Bookings cancelled up to 30 days prior to arrival, will incur a 60% penalty, thereafter 100% penalty will be charged.
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY – GROUP BOOKINGS:
A group is a minimum of 5 rooms, with a minimum of 10 paying guests.
Provisional group bookings will be held for 14 days, thereafter a deposit of 60% is payable to confirm the reservation.
Cancellation within 60 days of arrival will incur a 60% penalty of the amount of the accommodation paid.
Full payment on group accommodation is required no less than 60 days prior to arrival.

Late check-in requires arrangement. i.e. after 18h00.
Early dinner reservations requested prior to arrival.
Estate and Manor available for weddings: intimate celebrations and boardroom functions.

Set among the vineyards of the Paarl, this is a perfect location for a slow start. The room is large and spacious, with a large bed ( 2 singles joined). A very clean bathroom with a shower and bidet. Breakfast is on the patio overlooking the vinyard, with the mountains in the horizon. Perfect to start the day slowly. Breakfast was good with attentive staff. The management were excellent.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The views are breathtaking, the food and service great. The hosts were extremely accommodating.The rooms and bathrooms are big, the bar is well stocked and the breakfasts and dinners are filled with home made goodies.

We had a superb time here. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a lovely large room which was beautifully furnished. We had a lovely chat with the hospitable owners in the bar with a glass of wine before we had dinner. We were also able to wander around the garden and also have a walk round the vineyard. Meals were super and prepared as we were eating them. We had such a good time here that we wished we could have stayed longer. We would certainly recommend staying here to anyone and would stay again if we were ever back in the area.
