Chalet Luxurious in Winkelmatten in Zermatt , 5 stars traditional chalet
Our chalet was constructed in 2009 using traditional alpine methods and aged wood. Its location boasts many advantages. It is in the exclusive Winkelmatten section of Zermatt, next to a charming 17th century chapel that is very popular for weddings and other religious ceremonies.
Situated at an elevated position and surrounded by the stunning mountains of Zermatt, guests are treated to the early morning sun and views of the famous Matterhorn year-round.
In winter, you can ski almost all the way to the entry of the chalet. The Klein Matterhorn cable station is only a 5 minute walk away. There is a bus stop right in front of the chalet, another important plus. For families, the newly built children’s playground next door is extremely handy. We happily welcome toddlers, for free until the age of 2. Children’s beds are available.
The Chalet is a triplex that consists of two scenic apartments: the expansive and enchanting apartment I on the upper two floors, and the exceedingly pleasing apartment II on the ground floor. Both apartments are furnished with the same great taste and attention that will make our guests feel comfortable and at home.Guests of both apartments share the use of a wonderful sauna and relaxation room where they can rest after a busy day of skiing and hiking.
The apartments are both equipped with their own modern kitchens and fitted with associated items such as toasters, microwaves, Nespresso machines and mixers. In addition, they have free wideband internet access, TVs/radios, DVD recorders, and hair dryers. Animals on request only. Please notice that this is a non-smoking Chalet. Hopefully we have piqued your interest and would be delighted to count you among our guests.

We had a fantastic stay at Marilyn's chalet. We had someone waiting for us at the train station who arranged a taxi, helped us check in, and gave us tips for the week. A great view of the Matterhorn and very convenient to the Glacier gondola. Thank you!

We loved the chalet! Marilyn was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We parked our van in Tasch, rode the train into Zermatt and took the shuttle from the station.

Eine wunderschön gelegene Wohnung im urtümlichen Dorfteil Winkelmatten, aus jedem Fenster hat man einen andern spannenden Blick auf die Berge, besonders spektakulär natürlich der Blick aufs Matterhorn. Die Wohnung ist perfekt eingerichtet, von der hochwertigen und angenehmen Bett- und Frottierwäsche über die diversen Fernsehgeräte bis zur Küche, in der absolut nichts fehlt! Dazu kam noch die äusserst angenehme Kommunikation mit Marilyn, die trotz ihrer Abwesenheit dafür gesorgt hat, dass wir uns in der Wohnung zurecht gefunden haben. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

This was one of our favorite places to stay on our vacation. The view of matterhorn is better than the pictures show. There is a beautiful balcony, plus you can see it from most of the windows. The apartment is very well docorated and is very clean. Our children spent a few hours playing in the park next door, which has a zipline and a few unique swings that were very fun. Marilyn was a gracious and helpful hostess. We texted back and forth several times and she even let us borrow her fondue pot so we could make our own fondue at home (we bought the cheese, bread and fruit at Coop). The sauna was nice, and the washer and dryer downstairs was very convenient. I highly recommend this place.
