Our 120 square meter (1270 sq ft) vacation home sits on a beachfront, ocean view lot of 1200 sq m (13000 square feet) which is located within a private ecological and marine reserve.
Built on a cliff, surrounded by a tropical lush garden the African style roundhouse with palm thatched roof and half open living areas is a getaway for lovers of nature and ideal as a holiday home. A little path leads you in 2 minutes to a sandy beach enclosed by magic rock formations.
The owners of the neighboring lots are coming from different parts of the world (USA, Canada, Ecuador, Switzerland and Germany) and the common interest is to conserve this magical spot. Our aim is to preserve its nature, and to keep it as quiet as it is. This is our paradise !
A 5 hours drive from Quito, or a 30 minutes flight Quito – Esmeraldas plus a 45 minutes drive, take you here. The next supermarket is located in Same (17 km), the next bigger town is Atacames (25 km aprxm).
The house has a ground floor with an open plan kitchen/ living/ dining area and a bedroom with a queen size double bed (160 x 190 cm) and lots of storage room in built-in cupboards.
On a gallery level (half the size of the ground floor) there is a sleeping area, with a king size bed (200 x 200 cm), a double bed (140 x 190 cm) and shelf space. All beds have big, built-in mosquito nets and night lamps.
The bathroom with shower and eco-composting-toilet is located in a separate cottage at 10 meters from the main house. A second outdoor shower for a quick refreshing and after swimming in the ocean is available in the garden. Staying at Wantara Beach is more a luxury camping experience than a stay in a "normal" beach house. Perfect for nature lovers, its away from it all. You hear the sound of nature and zillions of birds, just a short walk from an hostel and its restaurant.
Our kitchen is fully equipped for up to 6 guests, it has a fridge and lots of storage room. The stove has an oven and four flames. The living room features two comfy sofas and hammocks and has the best view to the garden and forest.

Deposits and Payments
· Rentals require a deposit of 40% of total fee to confirm the reservation. The deposit shall be applied against the rental fees.
· Payment in full is due 60 days prior to the Check-in Date.
· Cleaning service twice a week is included in rental contracts. Extra services such as laundry, transfers or tours, may be paid upon arrival. Rates are subject to change due to employment laws and/or economy fluctuations.
Cancellation Policy
· If the Guest needs to cancel a reservation, the 40% deposit is non-refundable and the balance of any further deposits made are refundable as follows:
· 100% if cancelled 60 days or more prior to the Check-in Date, deducting wire transfer and/or PayPal service fee
· 50% if cancelled less than 60 and more than 30 days prior to the Check-in Date, deducting wire transfer and/or PayPal service fee.
· Refund or transfer of deposit to other rental dates is not possible if cancelled less than 30 days prior to the Check-in Date or in case of early departure.
· Please Note: We highly recommend you carry travel insurance to help you cover any fees in the case of unexpected cancellation or early departure.
Payment
· Payment can be made by; wire transfer to the Homeowner’s bank account in Ecuador (transfer cost to be paid by the Guest) or PayPal (service fee to be paid by the Guest).
Services Included
· The rental rate includes housekeeping, repair, general maintenance of suite and Property, gardening, supply of light bulbs/gas tanks, maintenance of water pumps/alarm system, on-site security and cleaning service including change of towels (twice a week) and linens (once a week). Upon arrival, the Guest will find the suite equipped with an initial supply of drinking water, kitchen basics and bathroom amenities.
Waiver of responsibility
· All of the units are privately owned; the Homeowner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that any Guests may have whilst on the premises or using its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest or any of their visitors. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that the Guest and any of their visitors are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
