The owner, who is an architect, designed this house to offer spacious, airy living with large sliding patio doors opening onto a huge garden with bespoke furniture, a small putting green and wonderful outdoor dining area with a large BBQ grill and seating. With 7 bedrooms and a vaulted living space, it is ideal for a large family or group of friends and enjoys the benefit of an indoor jacuzzi complete with home cinema system and billard table in the kitchen. Although set on a complex of other cottages with a shared indoor heated pool, children's swings and table tennis, this house is far enough away for privacy and makes a wonderful location to explore the canals around Saint Omer on a traditional barge, dine in the local restaurants or fish on the nearby canal (permit required). The sandy beaches of the Cote d'Opale are 40km away or visit Boulogne sur Mer with its fish market and old town with panoramic ramparts. The Belgian city of Bruges can be easily reached by car for a trip around its canals, squares, pretty architecture and historic bell-tower. Shared indoor pool and trampolene area.
