This charming house is located in the center of Congenies village, close to all village shops and amenities, about 30 minutes to Montpellier and 20 minutes to Nimes. The property has been beautifully renovated by its owners, offering a good balance between period features and modern and elegant comfort. It is enjoying total privacy within its walled garden and swimming pool.
The terrace and garden of approximately 1800 m2 offer a quiet and relaxing spot from which to enjoy the Mediterranean summer lifestyle: refresh in the pool, prepare barbecues, alfresco diners, catch a bit of sun in the loungers, indulge in a good book ensconced in a sofa chair in the shade.
The house interiors convey a warm atmosphere drawn from a mixture of the house’s original features and modern furniture. Past the hallway, there is the large kitchen with eat in table and american fridge freezer leading to a covered terrace equipped with another dining table for al fresco diners. The large living room with its fireplace and flat screen TV also is equipped with large confortable sofas. The garden can be accessed directly either from the living room or from the covered terrace which both open straight onto a pleasant terrace overlooking to swimming pool.
On the first floor, there is one master bedroom with a large dressing, a flat screen TV and an en-suite shower room which is shared with another double bedroom; then two more double bedrooms sharing another ensuite bathroom, and finally a single bedroom in the tower.
The property stands as a good location to explore Montpellier’s medieval city centre as well as Nîmes and Arles cities and their Roman vestiges such as the Pont du Gard (20 minutes away), or even go to the nearby beaches of l'Espiguette or La Grande Motte in less than half an hour away from the house. There are are all commodities in the village of Congenies such as a Butcher, a Baker, an organic fruit and vegetable shop, a restaurant, and further away in the next door villages of Calvisson or Sommière are also lovely food markets on Saturdays and Sundays.
