This beautiful independent Villa is located in the spectacular landscape well known as Val d’Orcia, within easy reach of the historic city of Pienza.

When the owners bought the property it was just a ruin but a long and careful restoration has transformed it into a high quality and comfortable Villa with a delightful pool. In restoring the structure as a comfortable vacation house of exceptional character, the owners’ main aim has been to respect the original features of the building. Rooms with wood-beamed ceilings are of specific interest and open to the most beautiful views to the valley, with wheat fields, olive groves and cypress trees. The owner family has maintained the traditional structure of the original farmhouse and kept it divided into two independent units: the ground level, once the stables, which can accommodate ten people, and the top level, where the peasants used to live, where four more people can sleep. As a result, this Villa is the perfect location for family reunions or groups of friends looking for an “oasis” of tranquillity, surrounded by art and culture.

On the ground floor there is a fully equipped chef’s kitchen (fridge with freezer, oven, microwave oven, kettle, 5 rings cooker, dishwasher); a huge living-dining room with double doors opening to the front patio and to the back garden. In the smaller living room there is a large stone fireplace surrounded by wide red sofas spreading a warm and cosy atmosphere. Five spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms complete the remaining space on this floor. A stone external staircase leads to the upper floor unit; four breathtaking arched windows overlook the valley and the huge oak tree in front of the house, creating an open and dynamic space. Another large stone fireplace offers an ideal retreat for afternoon reading. A fully equipped kitchen will appeal to those who love cooking, and the vistas from the many windows . The extensive lawn maintains the open space to the valley and does not to restrict the view around the farmhouse. Terracotta pots with geraniums, wild roses and bushes of lavender and rosemary create a beautiful environment by the pool. The covered dining space with fireplace, pizza oven, barbeque, table and chairs will let guests enjoy unforgettable Tuscan sunsets.

A laundry room with washing-machine, hangers, ironing board and iron is available for the guests of the Villa. The house is also equipped with satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning and central heating. Extra cleaning and a cook can be arranged at an additional cost. The nearest village, just 2 km away offers some shops; Pienza is less than 10 km away; Siena about 72 km .
