The Villa is a beautiful villegiatura located in a panoramic position on the Chianti Classico hills. The first building dates back to the XIIth century as a monastery later turned into an aristocratic Florentine country residence. The property has been divided into two large units, each of which with independent entrances and outdoor areas. The portion of the house we are offering has in turn been divided into two apartments on the first and second floor that are rented together, and an annex.
This offers 2 families or a group of friends to enjoy a high level of comfort and privacy whilst also experiencing a holiday together in a large Tuscan country house.
To the right of the entrance large Tuscan terracotta terrace with gazebo, table and chairs. At the back other areas with a large gazebo as well as table and chairs for enjoying unforgettable outdoor meals. The garden slopes gently down to a beautiful swimming pool (5 X 10 m). Beyond the swimming pool garden and other swimming pool belonging to the adjacent portion of the property. The windows have mosquito screens. Private 4-car shaded parking. Barbecue.

In the event that the house is booked in the version for 14 people the annex, which has a separate entrance and no internal connection with the rest of the home, may be occasionally used by the owners

We stayed in the Villa in May, a group of 16 friends. We have rented the entire house (400m2). It was terrific and perfect for us. We all (each couple and the singles) had our own bedroom – bathroom and in the morning we all gathered in a large dining room at the ground floor for our breakfast. The view was magnificent : you could see the vineyards, olive trees and the hills of Tuscany. The place is fully equipped, even for such a large company. There is a dish washing machine, so nobody had to wash all that dishes. Whatever we needed the key holder was near the house and she took care of every problem and every need that we had. Perfect location to visit Florence, Siena, Chianti and Montalcino. The nearest village (San Casciano in Val di Pesa) has many good restaurants to eat, in case you want something near the house. The owners are a sweet and gentle couple. They tried to make us feel like we were staying in our own house and they succeed. Definitely the property is much much better than the photos in the internet site. I strongly recommend it for a pleasant stay in Tuscany and I hope that we will visit again Salivolpe.
