Internal Description:
The building was restored in 2010 and is very close to the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery, Piazza S.S. Annunziata, Piazza della Signoria and all the other monuments of the city. More specifically, the apartment has a wonderful view to the dome of the Cathdral and Fiesole.
The property is on two levels: At the entrance there bright double living room, with one of its walls being a huge window. Then functional kitchen area separated from the dining area by an large and elegant French kitchen counter from the XIX century. In the living room quite large library that takes up an entire wall.
From the living room the guests can reach: the master bedroom with TV and a view to the Duomo and the bathroom in marble with a double shower. In the building along with his mother, Aloysius Gonzaga, a guest of the Medici family, the lords of the city of Florence, stayed in the apartment between the years of 1577 to 1580. During his period in Florence, Aloysius Gonzaga developed his religious vocation that would eventually lead him to priesthood and becoming a saint. A portrait of the saint, painted by Giovanni Battista Arrighi along with an inscription of the late seventeenth century can still be found on the facade of the building, still remembering today the palazzo as the residence of San Luigi Gonzaga.
