Enjoy plenty of beach walks and sunbathing, but note that the waters are not always suitable for swimming due to strong currents. Calm beaches and beach lagoons are dotted around - but sea conditions vary, so ask the staff for advice on the best places to swim during your vacation.

Around your villa are attractions like Galle Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a walled city where you'll find charming streets lined with historic churches, Dutch colonial buildings, restaurants, cafes, galleries and stores. Unawatuna, a popular beach with excellent swimming, snorkeling, diving and seafood restaurants, is just a short walk away.

Sri Lanka is a destination known for its diverse wildlife and extensive tea plantations. A whale watching tour in Mirissa promises to be an incredible experience, as does a visit to the Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery in Habaraduwa; the organization takes care to carefully hatch and release the turtles into the ocean so as not to harm the wildlife.
