Jean Louis and Nola his australian wife are wine growers and would be pleased to rent you one of their 3 renovated self catering cottages.

Jean Louis and his daughter Andréa will be happy to answer questions on Chateau La Gontrie and to share with you their passion for wine.

4 cottages are situated in a property of 11ha surrounded by the vineyards and the forest .

Château la Gontrie offers a peaceful holiday home, less than 20 minutes drive from Bordeaux and 800m from the local village and shops.

*** Cottage le Pigeonnier sleeps up 6 -

Situateted apart from the main building , the ground floor consists of a combined kitchen and living room equipped with a dish washer, washing machine, stove, oven, coffee machine, electric kettle, microwave, TV, DVD, radio.

Two steps down from the living room : the master bedroom has a bed : 1,4m x 1,9m , and the single bedroom has a bed : 0,9m x 1,9M. Each room is equipped with an en suite shower room and toilet.

On the first floor, you will find a room with a master bedroom with a bed : 1,4m x 1,9m , and a single bedroom : 0,9m x 1,9M. Each room is equipped with an en suite shower room and toilet.

There is a private garden, separated by a hedge from the adjoining building, with a view of the forest, and garden table and chairs and barbecue for the summer.

The cottage is equipped with wi-fi internet access.

*** Sports

The swimming pool (12 x 6m) is shared between the 4 cottages. It is secured by a large fenced off area and the gate has a child proof lock.

Guests have free access to the entire property which includes, 1 ha of garden, 3 ha of vineyards and 3 ha of forest.

Volley ball, badminton, table tennis, french bowls and bicycles are available free of charge.

An old train track transformed into a cycling track runs a few kms away and goes on for 55km , on which you will discover the region of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux and the Entre Deux Mers.

There is a shared pool of 6 x 12 metres, 2.5 m deep.

A horse riding center situated in Sadirac (10km) can initiate beginners, or take you to discover the area.

A nautic center situated at less than 3 km provides courses in wakeboard or water sking.

Tennis 10 mins.
Two golf (18 holes) 30 and 45 mins .

"Tepacap" leasure center in the trees , between 3 and 12 meter above the ground (www.tepacap.fr), in our village 1km.

Arcachon, and the sand dune of the Pyla 110 meters high , Lacanau on the Atlantique ( surfing spot ) are both 60 mins.
