We had a wonderful time and we really loved the island. First the island... stunning scenery which is unspoiled and dramatically beautiful, even where it has been built upon. Pretty in places, wild in places, and appealingly a little rough around some of the edges so it does not feel like its presenting too much of a 'prepared' surface to visitors. The islanders ( little kids, old ladies, fishermen, young Rasta guys...) seemed to genuinely welcome us when meeting on the road/ beach/ pathway, they were kind , helpful and fun, which made it even more of a pleasure to explore. And there is a lot to explore as the terrain of the island makes it much bigger than it appears at first. Gideon's handover lesson about our 4WD and low ratio gears was very much needed !! The lack of litter anywhere is perhaps a small point but shows people are taking a pride in the place. The places and things we loved would be a very long list. It is a very special place and we hope you lucky islanders can hang onto all that over the years under inevitable pressure from more of us visitors... Very best wishes, Cathy Swingland, U.K.
