Many have said that there is magic in the hands of our Spa Therapists. Enjoy a massage treatment in the spa, or in the luxury of your suite.
Safaris are conducted twice a day and you can also enjoy the bush on foot.
What would an extraordinary safari be without an extraordinary Guide and Tracker? In our world, nothing less will do! We select every Guide and Tracker who is entrusted to share every magical experience with you. Field Guides and Trackers work together as a team out in the bush. The Trackers are the eyes and ears while the Guides are the navigators and interpreters. In their expert hands, guests are treated to really close encounters with Africa’s most coveted animal species. This is where you will find one of the world’s only MASTER TRACKERS.
Our Field Guides are the quintessential hosts during a drinks stop out in the bush, as the day draws to an ambient close.
Children on safari will be riveted by what there is to see and learn out in the bush. Our Guides and Trackers take their responsibility as teachers and guardians very seriously.
2 safaris take place each day – in the morning and late afternoon (moving into the early evening). This is when the wildlife is most active, and the temperature more moderate. These safaris are not confined to main roads. Our Field Guides are able to navigate through dense bush, following the tracks of animals. With a limited number of vehicles on each property, and strict criteria governing sightings, guests are able to spend extended periods of time watching wildlife in its natural habitat.
The bush takes on a completely different perspective when you are on foot. Each of your senses will be on full alert as you feel the grass and stones beneath your feet; touch the leathery leaves of trees you walk beneath; smell the musky scent of wild animals in the vicinity; taste the sweet grass of the veld; and hear the crack of a branch indicating you are not alone.
Every guest will have unique interests, and the guides are adept at playing to those interests – be they mammals, birds, flora, insects or geology.
SAFETY FIRST! Guides and trackers accompanying guests will conduct a pre-trail briefing. They will explain more about the area in which the walk will take place, and what walkers need to know. This will include how guests should walk (single file behind the guide, no lagging behind), what to do in certain instances when encountering animals on the walk, information on medical kits and handheld radios etc.) First Aid kits and handheld radios are standard equipment on walks, so that in the unlikely event of an emergency, the group has contact with the lodge and access to basic medical equipment.

The Skukuza Regional Airport re-opened to traffic in June 2014. This saw the welcome re-establishment of scheduled air services to one of the country’s most visited tourist attractions, linking to other regional hubs (and the rest of the world), coveted African safari destinations and Mozambique. This direct flight service makes for a much more cost effective, convenient and time efficient travel solution.
Airlink offers daily flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg. Flights from Durban will follow. Federal Air supplies feeder and charter services carrying passengers between Skukuza and the game lodges in the region, as well as from Skukuza to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to feed onward scheduled flights to Livingstone in Zambia and Vilanculos in Mozambique.
Guests will be transferred from Skukuza Airport to this lodge in an open safari vehicle.
The Lodge is located in a low risk malaria area and we suggest you discuss this with your health practitioner before travelling.
OMG. I had never been to a game lodge before or Africa. I hope to come back. Rooms are amazing! Food is amazing! The staff is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!! I think they are what makes it so special. The game drives produced every animal that you can imagine. Our driver was Simon and our tracker was Wanted. Great, great, great!!! I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. AMAZING!!! Save your hard earned dollars and get here. You won't be disappointed. We stayed in room 1 which is the farthest from the main building. All the rooms are the same. Nomsa is the massage/facial person and it is divine!!! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
Our stay at the lodge was just amazing in every point of view. It was just a dream come true. We will come again. The employees were all extremely friendly. The rooms were really clean. The atmosphere is fantastic. The rangers Ben and Collins are really professional and they really have a big knowledge of the animals and they respect the area where they work.We have seen a lot of animals. It was such an wonderful experience which is quite difficult to explain it in words. I would recommend it. People should do this kind of safari trip in order to be able to feel the safari atmosphere live and in all wonderful coluours of the nature.
It can be very confusing choosing a safari, but look no further! Everything you ever dreamed of you will find at this Lodge. From the moment you step out of the vehicle, you are met by name and the best welcome ever from the staff and the view.
